#BeKindToYourMind
As teachers, we understand that you want your children to have the best possible start in life, however we are also very aware of the worries and concerns that you may be experiencing as a result of the pandemic. Therefore, just as we recognise the importance of physical health, we want to highlight the importance of mental health. We all have mental health and during this difficult time, we want to support you in looking after yourself and your family. Encouraging children to recognise and be open about their feelings can give them the skills to cope with the ups and downs that life will throw at them as they grow up. It’s important that our children understand that emotions are normal and that they have the confidence to ask for help if they need it. In order to support you with this, we have uploaded a number of videos and activities and we would encourage you and your children to engage with.
Please feel free to share any pictures or comments (srainey912@c2kni.net); we would love to see you participating in our #BeKindToYourMind campaign.
